Like other folks said, the study guide material is good. It shows the faith walk of Scrooge - from Selfishness to Regret to Repentance to Salvation. Just be sure you have the DVD labeled "Remastered Edition". The picture was cleaned up. The sound was improved from Mono to Dolby Surround Sound. And the missing scene was restored at the end where Scrooge goes to church.

This video was of extremely poor quality. It was so poorly done our class could barely understand the dialogue. We have completed and enjoyed many of these studies but this one was a great disappointment.

The lessons were well thought out, good questions built on Biblical principals. The video was of poor quality. I thought the video would be a more recent one instead it was an old version. It was hard to understand the dialogue between characters. Overall I was not happy with the video even though it seemed like a good idea

We wanted to do something seasonal in our small group, and thought this Christmas Carol Bible Study would be a timely. Utilizing the original, original, movie, was very poor quality, scratchy black and white film clips, hard to understand dialogue. Would have been ok, if there had been interesting additional content added, but the "sermonette" before and after each of the 4 clips was only a minute or two. The study guide was useful, but content was fairly obvious, no real ah-hah's. Scrooge has been done so many times in so many ways, that this could have been so fascinating. Not worth the money.

This study is something different and that part is ok. What is difficult is that some of the questions are too personal for a Sunday School class and I am having difficulty in getting people to participate. I would recommend it to a small, home group that is already intimate with each others personal lives. The video is difficult to understand because of the age of the movie and strong english language. To be honest, I am a bit disappointed...

Jim Flagg
I did this Bible study with an intergenerational group last Advent and they loved it. Steve Skelton did a great job of pulling the issues of faith from Dickens' tale which aptly apply to today's issues. I would heartily recommend this study. It can be as light or in depth as you care to get.
