I have now read this series twice. It is by far the BEST I have ever read! I gave them to my grandmother to read, and she feels the same way. My only complaint is that they did not continue the series through the rest of WWII.

I am writing to send a note of appreciation for all the Thoene Series. I love historical novels and I am the Librarian at my church, Friendship Baptist. I have learned so much history from your books and I feel positive they are well researched. I am hoping to be an influence on the readers at the library, to give them substance as well as good recreational reading that does not replace The Bible but only adds to the enjoyment of reading it. My mother in-law gave me Volumes 1-3 to read. I put off reading them because they seemed a little female-ish; but I promised her I'd read them so I did. I was shocked to learn there was 6 more volumes. They are great. The history is wonderful. I appreciate the characters and their trials. If you are looking for an entertaining read I would recommend these to you.

Amazing Series...Read these at least a decade ago and I still haven't forgotten the characters...there are scenes still etched in my mind.Best Christian Fiction I've ever read!

This series is wonderful and a must read! It is great for so many people; male, female, young and old alike. If you like historical fiction, Bodie and Brock Thoene are masters of the art. You will learn so much about a time ih history that rocked ou world.
