I wanted my kids and I to be reading from the same text for our morning study times together and each of us had a different version. I didn't want to spend a lot of money as we each have Bibles that we use personally, and this was a perfect fit. I was surprised at how small 8.2 font size is, but it works! I would definitely use this Bible to give away to someone also.

I prefer the King James' Version of the Bible, simply because it has been translated from a more reliable text than some others. However, having said that, for new Christians who find it difficult to understand the KJV, the English Std Version is an acceptable substitute. It is more reliable than any other of the non-KJV translations, with the exception of the fact that a part of the scripture has been left out. I John 5:7 is not translated accurately from the original text. However, it is an acceptable substitute to the KJV, and has far less negatives than other versions in so-called "modern" English.

This Bible was selected due to its features geared toward new believers and those who just may not be familiar with the Bible. Things such as the plan of salvation, where to look when you feel a certain way, and a bible study plan coupled with an easy to read, highly recommended version made this particular Bible ideal. The price was a surprise bonus giving us the ability to reach even more people for Christ.

I like this bible because it is a great font size compared to others. It is paperback but durable. It is light weight and inexpensive to mail to others in a large envelope. This version (ESV) is for reading levels of 8th grade and up, perfect for youth and new Christians to gain understanding as well as those who are not yet Followers of Christ Jesus and are searching to find the truth. I buy this bible by the case and mail them to those incarcerated that are requesting a bible. This bible is great to keep a dozen on hand to give to those in need of God's Word or to have on hand for your "in Home" bible study group. You would all be reading from the same version.

The ESV is an excellently accurate translation of God's word from the original languages into English. These particular bibles are paperbacks, which does pose some durability issues, but also makes them lightweight. If you have someone who is inquisitive concerning the Gospel, these make an excellent gift to help educate them concerning the Way the Truth and the Life!

We give these away free to visitors who do not have a Bible. They have some good extras for starting out and learning how to navigate the Bible. Pretty good quality and excellent price.

I like the paperback edition. This ESV version has several helpful features such as a 40 day reading plan, how to read the Bible, Where to find help when you are.... and What the Bible says about... It is a good size. Not too big, yet not too small either. Fits my needs. I bring several different versions to Bible studies I lead to purposely have class members read from. Really gives a good rounded perspective that way.

I bought this Bible to give to someone who is not a Christian yet. I chose this item because it is ESV (word-for-word translation) and modern english. What made me choose this item over others that are offered was that I really liked that there are introductions to each of the books explaining who wrote it (if available), when it was written, who was it originally intended for, and a very brief summary. There are also sections on "How to read the Bible", "God's plan to save you", and introductions on the Old and New Testaments as a whole. There is also a section called "what does the Bible say about..." in which there are various topics like "anger" or "lonliness" or "money". The print is slightly larger than some of the other items offered (8.2 font), and the quality is good for a paperback. The pages appear to be thick enough to last a good while if properly treated. I was very happy with this item.

i like the small bible size and small price, however, you'll get small print and that maybe harder for older patrons to read- though it is great for a teen group or small bible study.

Nice price...budget friendly, but the type is a little too small. Since we'll be using these bibles to give away to our 1st time visitors to the church, next time we need to order, we'll choose a bible with a bit bigger type text size.

This is a very good value for the money and great to hand out. Lots of ways for conversation starters to get started into the word. Bought to hand out at work and they are eating it up. Hope to start a Bible study soon.
