Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones' obituary in The Times read, "With the death of Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones the most powerful and persuasive evangelical voice in Britain for some 30 years is now silent." This wonderful biography, Lloyd-Jones: Messenger of Grace, documents the life of the minister who preached from the pulpit of Westminster Chapel. He was a man who opposed the movement of the Christian denominations of his time to incorporate liberal theology. Iain H. Murray opens to the doors to a monumental Christian figure with this book. Includes CD of Lloyd-Jones Preaching on John 8:21-24.

This book should be on everyone's shelf. What an encouragement to all and a testimony to God's grace of one being faithful to "preach the Word." May God raise up more men like MLJ!

If you appreciate Lloyd-Jones you will enjoy anything by or about him. Murray addresses Lloyd-Jones as preacher. This book fills in the blanks of his previous bios and clarifies some of the misunderstandings about this great pastor's ministry. Murray is always insightful.
