I have had this book for a few years now and each year just before Advent, I pull it out and dive in. It is so full of interesting facts to share with the kids and it is such an amazing way to be able to trace every tradition and decoration back to its roots - in Jesus! The book itself is beautiful and extremely well made. I love this book!!!

As someone who didn't celebrate Christmas until I had children of my own, I wanted the activities to be more meaningful than that of Santa Clause and yet be fun. I appreciate the history of some older traditions especially that Lisa shares. Beautiful book with lots of great ideas for this season.

I was so excited to receive this in the mail last week. I skimmed the whole book the first night and then have sat down to really investigate it. I cannot wait for 1 December so we can get started! The activity I'm looking forward to the most is leaving 1 piece of a nativity on a neighbor's porch each day leading up to Christmas Eve. My kids loved the bright colors and artwork, and wanted me to read the whole thing in one sitting.

I love this book! It is filled with so much information and so many ideas to celebrate advent with your kids! The illustrations are awesome! Most of the ideas are ones that you can do at home, with a few that can be done at Christmas parties or celebrations with numerous children. I enjoy Lisa's writing style. She says things that even the newest of Christians can understand.
