Most children's versions of the real thing at least approximate what the adult version does. This harmonica does not work like a real harmonica at all except that it makes noise when you blow through it. There is no ability to play one tone and the tones do not increase in pitch as you travel from one side to the other of the harmonica. Blowing in and pulling air out produce the same tone - they should be a half step apart.
