These books are a must read. I have met both the author and 2 of the story subjects. The author speaks in person the way she writes. These are incredible stories of God at work every day on her ranch "of rescued dreams." She reports these stories of children and horses, many with broken spirits some with broken bodies and their steps to recovery in the frame work of God's love. I have purchased and given away probably 20 books with the request that when they are done reading them they give them to someone else with the request to send them on. They are heartwarming stories and great encouragement and the reminder that God is always at work. They will bless your heart and renew your spirit. They are appropriate for teenagers to older adults. The fruit of the spirit is love, and they exemplify loving spirits.

I'll soon be purchasing these books for the second time from CBD. I've passed along my first copies to others. These books are for YOU if you have a heart for children and horses. Tears will flow at some point while reading these books, but you will not be able to put them down!

I bought this set for a friend who likes horses. After the author was interviewed on Focus on the Family before sending them off, I took a quick look at the chapters. I ended up getting them at my library so I could read them fully and now want my own set. Her writing style captivates you as you see yourself going through the highs and lows that her friends encounter. yes you will cry, but you will also be touched at how God shows His love through the simplest of events.
