Multnomah Publishers, Inc. Since Nobody's Perfect . . . How Good Is Good Enough? 3 Copies

Many of us want to believe that our family and friends who have not confessed Christ will be accepted into heaven because they are basically "good people." In How Good is Good Enough Andy Stanley shatters this false belief by reminding us that heaven is not filled with good people, but with people who have received God's grace. This powerful teaching on grace will bring you closer to God and will introduce your family and friends to the heart of the Christian faith. Keep one copy for yourself and give the other copies to those who are desperate for God's grace.

I really enjoyed the book, because in and of ourselves we can never be good enough - it is only because of Jesus, and what he did on our behalf.

Andy Stanley presents the basics of Christianity and the Gospel message in very simplistic and understandable terms. This book is an excellent gift for unsaved family or friends and is short enough that they will hopefully take the time to read it.

I bought this for an unbeliever who says he is good enough. The book is short but covers a lot of ground, now it is up to The Holy Spirit to do His work. Amen

This small book simply answers the question many people have about being "good enough" to enter God's kingdom and have eternal life. It's an upstoppable read for those desiring the truth.

I bought several copies of this book to have on hand for non-Christian friends and family who do not want to hear "spiritual" talk from me. The author explains the Scriptures in layman's terms, and leaves the unbeliever with no excuse but to embrace the truth of God's word. A person either believes or he does not; he is either going to hell or heaven and it cannot be determined by how bad or good he is. Faith and trust in Christ alone is the answer.

Andy does a great job in communicating to those who may be truly questioning the validity of the Gospel. He does not beat people over the head, but makes it plain that the Lord Jesus is the Only way to eternal life. Well done;however I believe he should have taken time to carefully explain the importance of repentance. This would help deal with the issue of easy beliveism.
This a book to give to those earnestly seeking salvation.

Perfect as a gift. Quick read, but very insightful. Brings home the central truth of Christianity in a thoughtful, at times humorous way--Christ is our only salvation.

This is a simple, yet profound little book. It explains the gospel in clear, everyday terms. Especially useful to the many that think as long as their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, they will most likely make it to heaven. Buy several of these to pass to your friends and acquaintances that share that opinion. Help them to be sure!

In this book Andy seeks to clarify what the Bible teaches about how to get to heaven. In doing so he contrasts the majority (if your good works outweigh your bad stuff you will go to heaven) view with the Biblical (you need forgiveness because you can never erase your bad stuff) view. In short, great stuff.
The Good:
Andy is funny, convicting, logical, and never condescending. This is a book that will clarify the gospel for the Bible follower and agnostic alike. The length (it takes just an hour or two to read through the 94 short pages) was perfect. The reference to Mother Teresa possibly skewing the cosmic curve so that it’s now harder to get into heaven was one of my favorite illustrations (p. 46). I always hated people who did that in Algebra class…
The Bad:
This is rare for me, but I found nothing not to like. I’ll be loaning this one out to both struggling Christians and my agnostic friends. It should be a good conversation starter without making someone defensive.
The Ugly:
Hmmm. The house of cards on the cover didn’t really resonate with me. Otherwise, this book is a must-read!
I received this book free from Multnomah Books for review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. DanielCooley.com

This is an excellent book for those who might be tempted by political correctness and universal spirituality. God said that their is no other god before Him and He sent His son that we might have eternal life here on earth and foreverafter with Him

This is included this in our Welcome Packs for first time visitors to church. We have also found it to be a great resource to give to those who are struggling with questions about faith and God's nature. The content is easy to read but has great depth as well.
It's message is based on a solid Biblical foundation and is very practical.

Awesome look at an old thought...many people today really believe they will get to heaven because they are "good' ...on a scale of 1 to 100 how good is good enough? what would God say? and what if you spend a lifetime of being "good" only to find out that you have missed the mark!
