Multnomah Publishers, Inc. Sisterchicks Say Ooh La La! Sisterchicks Series #5

All giggles and wiggles, Lisa and Amy sealed their friendship under the pink ruffles of a canopy bed, promising to be friends forever. They remained inseparable until an argument over Lisa's prom date divides them. In a plan that could only be devised by their heavenly Father, Amy and Lisa end up in the same hospital emergency room years later. With their promise to always be there for each other unexpectedly fulfilled, the two friends grow close again. Am reminds Lisa of one of their childhood promises yet to be realized--their plan to rendezvous in Paris. Amy and Lisa find a way to make good on their Parisian promise from thirty years ago and pack their bags for the adventure of a lifetime. From becoming unexpected counselors for a rocky marriage, these two Sisterchicks find the treasures of Europe can't compare with the gems of a friendship renewed for eternity!

I really enjoyed this installment of the Sister Chicks series. This is a pretty light read, easy to read in just a few days. She really makes you feel like you know the characters personally.

This book is really fun and it encouraged me to strengthen my relationship with God ...but beware, it makes you want to go on a sisterchick adventure for yourself. LOL

Another lovely installment, if not my favorite. Amy and Lisa remind me of myself and a former best friend because we, like them, met when we were kids and broke up, although we didn't resurrect the friendship :(Amy's conquering of her fears is a wonderful scene, and I loved all the references to Papa God, especially since, like Lisa, I have often felt like hiding from God because I am imperfect. That said, though, this was not Robin's best work. The plot seemed flatter than usual, exposing the book as a quick, light read with less depth than I like. It just didn't seem to move very well. Also, as a woman who has been slightly overweight and struggled with not thinking extremely thin is beautiful, I didn't appreciate all the weight stuff. But there's a lot to like here, so it still gets a great rating.

I loved this book as much as Sisterchicks do the Hula. It was cool how Amy and Lisa met again- in a hospital no less (connecting to one of the promises they made to each other as little girls). Another great part of this book is the setting! I would love to go to Paris one day, and this just made it realistic and what it's really like there. The connection to the previous book was another part I liked also. The lost luggage was an exciting adventure too, there were also many other cool parts to the book that you'll just have to read for. I can't wait for the next one.
