Sounds like a great idea! When kids put the right puzzle pieces on their proper place on the board, they'll hear realistic sounds. It's a fun and unique way to reinforce cause-and-effect, early vocabulary and matching skills. Measures 9" x 12", and is recommended for ages 2 and up.

Not all of the animal sounds works every time the puzzle piece was put in. Rather disappointing when it is a Christmas present. My granddaughter really liked it (age 1 1/2 yr) and loved carrying it around. Good idea, needs better quality control.

pegs are too small for a child's hand. pieces are also on the small side.

This is a very sturdy puzzle. My little guy seems to really love this puzzle and playing with it and hearing the sounds the animals make. My only concern is that one or two of the animal sounds are not very loud -- rather hard to hear, but the rest of them are just fine. I would recommend this puzzle to others.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves these puzzles. When she was just 1 1/2, the 'kid's gym' that we go to had a varitey of these sound puzzles and she went nuts. They are such a great learning tool. Especially the numbers, ABC's and the USA map. I bought 5 of these puzzles for her for CHRISTmas and sadly...only one worked. I contacted customer service at Christainbook.com at the end of January and they we more than accommodating. They sent replacement puzzles without having the defective ones back first. The new ones arrived in short order and are GREAT! My daughter is learning the USA map now and it's amazing. I would recommend these products to anyone with a child who is eager to learn and wants to be challenged.
