This book was highly useful as that I have just been through a very hard experience. That experience was that I was diagnosed with leukemia 1 year and 1 month ago today. What does this have to do with the Blackaby book? Well, when you are receiving Chemotherapy, you have a very hard time thinking. You also have a very hard time reading. Like the bible for instance. And you have a hard time remembering the different ways of interpreting the word, like the historical-grammatical, or the inductive study method. I had forgotten all of those, and was just getting back into my bible study. The book helped a lot when it comes to getting the flow of scripture and to get back to the fundamentals of the five w's of bible study. But the most basic thing that it taught me more than anything else, was that you have to have an attitude of prayer when approaching the scriptures. Wrapping up, excellent fundamentals, excellent ways to approach God's word. Would recommend it to everyone.

I like the way it is written in a nontechnical language. The emphasis is on your relationship to God and how this can improve through a sincere study of His Word.

This book is so good for new Christians and those who have followed Christ for years. It is so easy to understand. I am 56 and I am learning so much more than I ever knew about encounters with God. Thank you to all the Blackaby family who took the time to help us.
