We read this story at bedtime to our 10 and 7 year old boys. The story is the redemption story told by "grandpa" in each story grandpa relates bible stories from both the old and new testaments in terms of the ongoing war between good and evil. It is very insightful and thought provoking, and very biblical. Definetly worth reading.

I used this book with my 1st grade son as our Bible study to correlate with our study of Ancient History. He absolutely loved it and I know that we will used this again and again. In a highly readable fashion each chapter emphasizes that God/Christ is the main character of every story in the Bible and beautifully illustrates how the Bible is really one story and not many small stories. I found this meaningful to me as an adult as well. It is a useful tool for the entire family.
