Multnomah Books Web of Destiny, The Kane Legacy Series #2

Alan Kane lost a beloved brother at the Alamo and grieves terribly. His one consolation is that he will be reunited with Adam someday in heaven. Meanwhile the United States seems to be caught in a web of destiny to fight Mexico. When General Sam Houston prepares to face off against General Santa Anna, the three remaining Kane brothers volunteer once again, leaving their heavy-hearted wives on the Diamond K Ranch. Who will return this time when the guns are silent and the dust has settled? Can Alan let go of his brother Adam and freely love the woman he left behind? Can the Kane men make a difference in the war that threatens to destroy all they've worked to build? And will peace ever be theirs amid the rages of war?

This is a wonderful book and especially if you enjoy history. I enjoyed it but really am not a history buff but it is a wonderful story about brothers and their life. My favoirte parts are how they share the gospel with friends and see them come to know the Lord

I would give this more stars if there was any, this book is heart warming and is a beautifull written love story. It also shows how prayer and the love of Jesus helps them through the valleys of life.

I think the brothers, Alex and Abel, are wooden. Everything that is said and done, they are always agreeing with Alamo. It gets to be kind of boring. Not that I want them to argue, but it doesn't have to said all the time. Also, why does Angela, Libby, and Vivian have no children?

There was too much repetition in the dialogue and it made it hard to follow. The story line was wonderful.

Al Lacy is on top of my list for writing books with tremendous impact of scriptural principles and daily Christian living. However the history lessons are much more informative than any class. The Kane legacy series is proving both.
