When I first saw this movie 30 years ago, I had no idea what an impact it had on me. It is real story with real characters. There is hope in the end for people who want to be happy, even in the midst of despair. The movie can make you cry and at the same time make you happy. It is Jesus who gets the Glory by the time it ends.
