I forget to check print size. For me it is a little small. The study comments are superb, and access to the on-line version, etc., is a great feature.

This is a great study bible for someone who wants a smaller bible, yet with the good notes. However, because it's smaller the words in the notes are pretty small, so you have to have good lighting and good eyes to read them. Otherwise, it's great and meets my needs.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas 2012 as her first study bible. It was shipped promptly and packed well. My only disappointment was the imprinting of her name on the cover was mediocre at best. The letter spacing and quality of the imprint were not particularly well done.

To sum up how good this bible is - I simply cannot put it down, but return to it again and again!
So far I have read Daniel, Romans, John, and Genisis to Leviticus through with the bible study notes in the lower half of the pages. So much is made clear that I am reading things and making sense of them like never before in my 20 years of being a Christian! (I know it is ultimately the Holy Spirit that enlightens, and I feel that through reading His word in this format that this is happening.)
Prophecy in Daniel becomes clear, law and grace in Romans are explained vividly, John is magestic in ways I've never seen before, and I am throughly enjoying Leviticus at the moment having been lead through the tabernacle with pictures and charts in the later part of Exodus.

I cannot recommend this study bible enough! As an object, it is well bound but opens flat at any page. Its cover is flexible but hard wearing - the stitching effect I find pleasing.
I own a regular size hardback ESV study bible which I keep at my parents house, in which the study notes are bigger and cleaer. But the personal size is managable for my eyes.

I love this bible, the quality is excellent. I've compared most translations, and while I like something about all of them, I just keep going back to the ESV. The cover is beautiful, but the inside is as well. The colored in-text maps are much more helpful than the b&w which all my other bibles have. It has a wealth of good in-depth notes and helps, and will probably take the place of all my other books in my bookcase. It's basically a whole bookcase in one easy to carry lightweight bible. I love the fact that the print size of the bible text is larger than the study notes, because they feel that the Word of God is much more important than the notes of man, and I agree. The print of course is a little small, but that's to be expected in a bible with this much info., but yet in a very handy carry size. If you can read those little pocket new testaments you shouldn't have any trouble reading this. I have previously owned the regular size esv study bible...key word being "previously"...I no longer have it because it was just so big and heavy...I just simply never used it or took it anywhere. This one is so much better, as far as size, and I think it will be my companion for many years to come...and where I go it will go.

If anyone's looking for a Bible they can use for years, this is the one for them. There's probably more notes and maps in here than I could ever go over in my lifetime. The ESV is, of course, an amazing translation, invaluable for any student of God's Word.
And if you like a good, formal-looking Bible, this is also the one for you. The coloured pages make the Bible come alive even more so. The cover is hardy and protective, although I'm sure it will soften up as it gets use (which it will)! A good size for carrying, I would recommend this product to anyone.

I am really liking the ESV study Bible, but it was just too big to carry to church and handle comfortably. I was so glad to find the smaller sized version here. Yes, the font is smaller but it is great not carrying the larger size.

The last study Bible I bought was 30+ years ago with a 1977 NASB. Being the ESV...not only is it up-to-date translation...but also includes current articles with maps and other aides to make studying The Word more fulfilling.
In case you may want to get a case for this Bible...ordered the small lowest-cost blue canvas case from here. Fits perfect and protects probably the last study Bible I will ever own.

this is a perfectly fine Bible, I like the study notes. The only problem I have is the font size. A bit too small for someone my age, so I may invest in the regular size and leave that one at home.

This is by far the most beautiful Bible I've ever seen! Its a soft washed out baby blue & deep chocolate brown colour with flourishes, very feminine. The text IS a smaller font, but I have no issues with it as the pages are nice & bright. It's a very thick Bible, so not exactly "portable" unless you carry a big purse, but filled with such wonderful notes & commentary that it'll quickly become your favourite Bible as well. I give it a full 5 stars across the board, worth every penny!!! :)

I have lots of study bibles and this is my favorite because of the size, amount of study notes and references. This is also a good translation. It is easy to carry as opposed to larger or normal sized study bibles.

This is an amazing study Bible and the contents are theologically rich, poised to help anyone grow in their spiritual walk with the Lord. However, I would highly recommend purchasing this Bible in the normal or larger print versions. The print found in the personal size is painstakingly small, making it nearly impossible to read comfortably for any length of time, hence the two stars. I suppose there are some who can read this tiny font, however I am not one of those and actually ended up returning this Bible.

I purchased this Bible for my daughter's 17th birthday. At first I was disappointed with the size -- she wanted a thinner Bible. However, she loves it! She likes the size, version, features, cover... I think the price was very reasonable. Reading God's Word is a delight to her with this Bible.

Bought this Bible for my husband who travels alot. It is a nice smaller size but still has a readable font. The pages are good quality and not thin at all. The cover feels soft but very sturdy with stitching all the way around. The embossed celtic cross on the cover is gorgeous. It suits both men or women. I purchased this when it was on sale and couldn't be happier with the quality.

The personal-sized ESV study Bible is an excellent resource for Christian growth. I carry this edition with me on the road everywhere I travel. The text is easy to read and the companion notes are very helpful as I prepare lessons for teaching children about Jesus Christ. The leather was stiff when this was new; but has become very nice with frequent use.

I love this bible except for the color is off. I purchased the chocolate/blue study bible and the color is more of a seafoam, greenish blue. You actually can see the difference in the picture now that I look closely. The box shows a nice baby blue and the bible outside the box is th actual color. Disappointed. Love blue, not seafoam.
