The information, anecdotes and advice in this book is of value to anyone contemplating marriage in the near future, or for those who know marriage might be in their future someday. There are useful pointers about working through challenges, keeping the romance alive, nurturing a spirit of reconcilliation, etc. to make it a worthwhile read for anyone. It ought to be mandatory reading in school health class, in my humble opinion.

Pastor Hybels has included in his book something that I have been teaching for a while: proper dating from the "get go" means so much. Please dont' take time to know each other after the wedding and honeymoon..."make courtship count".

As a minister who performs MANY marriages this book "Fit To Be Tied" is a wonderful gift that I give each and every couple that I interview about getting married. Unlike many other ministers I see this service of performing marriages as a real ministry for Jesus.

I read this book during my engagement and found myself worried about the "red flags" mentioned....I re-read this book several times AFTER I broke off my relationship and knew I'd made the right decision. Thank You! to the Hybels for shooting from the hip!!

My husband and I read this book before we married, and againafter we had been married a while. We recommend it to everycouple we know approaching marriage. It is very real, practical,and fun to read as well.
