The 21st Century King James Version (KJ21^®) is neither a new translation nor a revision, but an updating of the King James Version (KJV) of A.D. 1611. While no attempt has been made to "improve" the timeless message or literary style of the KJV, words which are either obsolete or archaic, and are no longer understood by literate Bible readers, have been replaced by carefully selected current equivalents. Also updated spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and paragraphing have been used. These changes have been painstakingly made so as not to alter the meaning or beauty of the King James Version in any way. They simply make the KJ21^® easier to read and understand. It has not omitted any passages, and in fact, includes the original KJV chapter summaries.

This Bible is great, but it does not have maps and I do not like the differant size type sets used. I have the bonded leather version, to bad CBD does not carry it. Over all a great Bible.

This is an awesome Bible! It is very understandable to the literate Bible reader, yet it retains the beautiful, rich language of the 1611 KJV. It is very easy on the eyes with its single-column format. I can sit and read it for hours! When the 1611 KJV is being read aloud, it is very easy to follow along in the KJ21. I highly recommend it!
