This product is exactly what a biology book should be! It contains tons of information that traditional biology text do not cover. My child loves the format and the study guides. We are both learning new information! A great buy!!!

We have used Jay Wile's General Science and now Biology. It is such a wonderful curriculum as the text reads like he is talking to you...not just a bunch of boring facts. The General Science makes a distinction between Science, Applied Science and Technology and my son found that very helpful when he learned about different experiments, hypotheses and theories. Fantastic!

I really appreciate Apologia's teaching from a Christian worldview. In my opinion this is some of the best curriculum available. It teaches children to use logic and truly think rather than just memorize and return information.

I am finding this book to be informative. Very informative. I am a home school mom with a degree in Sociology. I've never taken Biology, but am learning right along with my son who is a Freshman in High School. It is challenging for him - but it must be. His plans for veterinary medicine require him to be challenged. I warn you (and the preface warns you) the materials are NOT easy! But, if your child fares well with this text, he'll fare well in College Algebra. Easy reading. Oh - you'll definitely need a microscope!

As a homeschool mom, it is always a thrill when my children get excited over a subject. That is what has happened with Apologia's Exploring Creation with Biology. My high schoolers LOVE it! We had used another biology book with our older kids, and no one was looking forward to going back to that one, including me! Apologia's book is written for the homeschooler, is engaging, and user friendly, while providing a solid foundation of "creation" science. This is an awesome high school biology program!

This book is very interesting, and challenging to my reading-impaired son. I read and have to explain some of the text, but his comprehension is high and he is eager to do the experiments. This book far excels the textbook my other son (who is in public school) used last year.
