Great study Bible to have from a pastor/teacher I admire and learn from. This Bible has large, readable print, has maps, outlines, and concordance, as well as appendices that go through the character of genuine saving faith, an overview of theology, and a read through the Bible in a year chart. The commentaries by John MacArthur are grounded in the sovereignty of God, the sinful nature of man, historical background, and, of course, the Gospel. For instance, his comments from the first chapter of Genesis shows his trust in the text that it is a literal 24 hour day and his comments in Ephesian 1 emphasizes God's sovereign will and matchless grace in our salvation. I have many Bibles, dictionaries, and study books when I'm preparing a lesson for my Bible study, but I find the commentaries of the scriptures from MacArthur the most insightful. My only negative is the traditional red lettering of the words of Jesus is not present here, but it's a personal preference. I highly recommend this Bible as a study tool, and of course, for just being the Word of God.

This is a nice study Bible. I love the large print and study notes. The only downside is it is A VERY LARGE Bible-not easily carried to church. So, I use it at home and carry the smaller one to church.

It's the best study bible I ever had. Everything in one bible. The only one thing I would really want is a red letter edition bible. I know every word are GOD'S words but I like to have the words spoken by our Lord Jesus on earth be in red which signifies the blood He shed for us.

Really thought this Bible would have "red" lettering when Jesus was speaking. To me, the "red-lettering" has much more power (and meaning).........as if Jesus is speaking directly to you.

I purchased this Bible for my wife as a gift and find that I use it just as much as she does. I strongly recommend this Bible to anyone wanting to gain a more comprehensive knowledge of the Word of God. This bible is GREAT for those of us that would like a large print study bible!!! Most study bibles have very small print to fit all the information on the page. This bible, although large, is great for reading in your favorite chair. A little large to bring back and forth to church, but a good bible cover with handles will help. I have one on order right now. It is just so wonderful to be able to read the large print. Fantastic version, thanks CBD for offering this edition. Love it!!!

I find my new Bible veryeasy to read and understand and I use itn as a cross reference with my other two study Bibles-N I V and Macarthur Study bBible American Stanard. I also use my New Living transalation with them altho it is not a study bible.
