Having recently returned from the Holy Land and a trip to Masada I purchased Paul Maier's excellent book with illustrations.
I have read the whole book and have a much better understanding of Jewish Antiquities and The Jewish War.

I have gotten much information just from the introduction.I'm early in the book but enjoying it much.I sought to find something by Josephus for many years.Happy to know I can purchase books like these atChristianbook store.

Borrowed the book from a friend. Enjoyed it enough to buy my own copy. Skips much of the entire work to concentrate on those portions holding special interest to Christian students. Really helpful tool, especially for the parts about Herod, fall of Jerusalem and Masada.

The Essentials Writing of Josephus it's a great book full of all kinds of historical information is a small paperback book but with weight on. I couldn't believe how heavy it was for a small book. It's a great book to have in a Christian library. I believe that every Christian should have this book in their library.

Not quite as good as Maier's translation of Eusebius, this is still great and the two compliment each other well. I found the Jewish Wars to be the most interesting section, but it was also interesting to read the Jewish history. Great buy!
