This is an amazing commentary on the new testament, very concise. It's great when preparing sermons, Phillips uses life stories, word studies, history, and much more in his commentary. Very much worth the low price!

This set is currently used by two of the best pastors that ive ever heard and came highly recommended by both of them. I just received them today and my current study is in Romans so I dug right into the Romans volume and I have already found it to be a blessing. I bought the whole set because of the value and I can already see that these are going to be an asset to my studies.

This is a "must have" for anyone who wants to go in depth into the Bible's teaching! With the teachings in this book I have expanded my knowledge of the gospel. My students have noticed a change....everyone has noticed a change. I am more confident with my delivery of messages because I am well versed and understand those verses with the help of this commentary!

John Phillips commentaries are excellent for pastors and preachers and any student of the Bible with a desire to grow in Christ. They centered in the person of Christ and give plenty of background information for each bible book plus explanations of the Greek words in the passages. It has abundant of applications to the Christian life. Reading is very easy but clear and concise. The commentaries have many illustrations that make the understanding of the passage clear.

Well Praise GOD !!!!! I purchased this volume set and I am really learning how to exegete scriptures and the way they used in the Greek. As a preacher I use this volume every service in Sermons and in depth Bible Study. I am teaching Romans, we have been in Romans for 1 yr. and we are just in Romans chapter 11. Lord it is amazing how information you can get from srcipture, when properly exegeted. Thank GOD for Dr. John Phillips.

I purchased the Matthew commentary for a bible study class and loved it so much I bought the whole New Testament set! I have never found a set of commentaries so rich in history and wisdom. John Phillips is obviously well learned and annointed by God. They will be something I will treasure and turn to for wisdom as I study God's Word. I could not beat the price anywhere! Well worth the price and they were at my door within one week.

I teach and preach truth of God's Word and it's so important to have commentaries of ther men with the same biblical world view that you have. I think John Phillips has great insight. I would recommend them to anyone, young or old who is desiring a closer walk with Christ.

I am currently in school at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute and needed several of the books that were in the set. So I elected to buy the complete set instead of buying just what I needed. From what I have read and studied so far they are going to be a Blessing to my ministry. This is a easy read and one of my favorite commentaries. This set will be a true Blessing for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of the word of God.

John Phillips commentaries and books are among my most valued tools. They are purposely on a shelf nearest my desk. His insights into the Scriptures are insightful and practical. I am never disappointed when whether I am reading for personal benefit or researching for teaching and preaching. Sell your shirt if necessary to get John Phillips books.

I am teaching the Gospel of Mark to 75 Middle and High Schoolers. I found this commentary in our church library along with others, and I find myself looking almost exclusively to John Phillips over the others. His thoughts are so fresh and easy to understand unlike some of the others which, although are incredible, are often too deep for youth. I plan on buying the whole New Testament set for myself.
