Kathy5 Stars Out Of 5The Simple LifeJanuary 25, 2013KathyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The simple life, oh how we all long for it, in Mitford you will find it. Jan Karon writes with a style similiar to James Herriot in his "All Creatures Great and Small" series. Jan also weaves her Christian faith throughtout the book in a way which is relevant to her reader. Put the kettle on, make some tea, sit down in a cozy chair and become acquainted with the people who live in Mitford. You'll be glad you did.

Janus Tuttle5 Stars Out Of 5The Mitford Series by Jan KanonOctober 20, 2014Janus TuttleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is the most entertaining series you could ever read. I have read them all and am presently reading her latest, "Somewhere Safe, with Somebody Good" and it is WONDERFUL. I cannot stop reading and read until 4 a.m. this morning. Don't miss this series. I was lying in bed reading and there was such a funny comment in the book I had to laugh outloud and no one here but me!!!!! Be sure you read each book and read as if the character is doing the talking. So, so, so, very good. I think after this new book, I am going to start and read the series over from the very beginning with Book no. One!!!!!

lynnduckettHazel Crest, ILAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Heartwarming!!March 18, 2014lynnduckettHazel Crest, ILAge: 45-54Gender: femaleEvery now and then one comes across a story that is so good in the telling, you almost feel like you can see every scene, feel the emotions, hear the sounds and even your tongue salivates at the foods mentioned. The lives of Father Tim, Cynthia, Dooley and the rest is a wonderful read. Every book. So if you are looking to get away from the stress of life for a while ride along with Jan Karon's wonderful story of a small town and it's cast of characters.

They are the very best books I have ever enjoyed. I will do the Father Tim series, which I have previewed. The characters in these books have become like family and best friends. I have giggled out loud, laughed and even cried with the people. I will have to re-read them soon, as they add so much pleasure and spiritual blessings to my life! I wish Jan Karon could continue them on and on!! My sincere thanks to her!!
