We have bought any number of these books to give as gifts for after getting our first book we realized what a gem this book is. It is filled with Christian history dating way back up to the present day. It is educational and an easy read for the busy person. We highly recommend it.

This daily read will bring new knowledge of how God works in lives that even a well-informed person will find helpful--even challenging. The authors have assembled events in the lives of people down through history that have occurred on each day of the year, ranging across the whole of life experiences. I have been brought to tears on reading of the sacrifice made by some, challenged by the dedication to following Christ by others, and thrilled to learn of how many met and overcame obstacles that seemed insurmountable.

Starting our day by reading this book together, we have grown in our faith in Christ, and look forward to each day's new material. We're especially delighted that our grandchildren have become daily readers.

I suspected I would like this book, but I had NO idea how it would bless me. Every morning... a cup of coffee, my bible and this book on my back deck.... priceless! I was inspired, challenged, humbled, and blessed to read of the faithfulness of those whose faith preceded my own.

We all stand on the shoulders of GIANTS who made sacrifices and faced obstacles that make our own more bearable. I've even gone back to this book for a second year. It's just that good! Now I've got to find another book like this one, because these stories are something all Christians should know about.

Great historical reading..I like it because I can pick it up and read a few days of history, without having to follow a theme.
