In keeping with the goals of serious and advanced New Testament scholars, the revised critical apparatus shows a nearly exhaustive list of variants but includes only the most significant witnesses for each variant. The Greek text has paragraph and section breaks. Cross-references in the margins are extensive and include synoptic parallels. Five appendices offer in-depth information for further understanding of passages.

The introduction appears in both English and German. Text, notes, and critical apparatus appear in a clear font throughout the volume.

This helpful edition presents the Greek and English text on facing pages. The English text is in the Revised Standard Version of the Bible.

I really enjoy this book. The font is clear and is a comfortable size. It's a really great resource for students of Greek.

This volume, along with the UBS4 with Dictionary, is an excellent resource for those who know Greek but whose vocabulary is not strong enough to read fluidly from the Greek New Testament. The English translation serves as a vocabulary aid. An added feature is that this volume retains the critical apparatus.

This volume is not just another Greek New Testament but is a fine work placing most tools of biblical criticism at the reader, student or scholars finger tips. It has the answers to 'where did they get that' questions for both the Rsv2 and the UBS4 tests. The book begins with a more than adequate explanation for the abbreviations in the critical apparatus and for the Greek text and the same for the Greek text. There are a number of indexes useful for both dating and placing old mss and fragments. For most of us who study for pastoral work this is almost too much information. This is a worthwhile addition to any ministerial or seminary student library. The only drawback if the critical notes are very small and much attention must be given to detail. This is a great book.
