When I saw the price for this book I was afraid it might be too good to be true. However, the quality of the book is excellent! The two attached book ribbons are a lovely feature. I was afraid this might be above my level of comprehension but the translation is quite readable (easier to understand than KJV English).

This book was constructed well for the price that was paid. The only reason I didn't give it five marks in the quality section, is that the hardcover could be a bit more sturdy. This book is meant to used as reference and as such will be paged though quite a bit. I think that the book could fall apart with heavy use. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this book again as it was only twenty dollars. So it is an excellent value. It has two ribbon markers. The print is clear and easy to read. The binding is secure. The only negative isn't that big of an issue especially for a twenty dollar purchase. If you have thought about buying this title I would't hesitate to recommend this book. It should do well on a shelf where a paperback might not fare as well.

This is an excellent addition to my Christian library. As a Calvinist, I want to be able to refer over and over again to this book. John Calvin lays out what it means to be a believer in the reformed tradition. I highly recommend this edition as it is beautifully presented and certainly useful in Christian study.

I heard a great theologian state once that no man every had a more profound sense of God than John clavin. After reading this book I know what he means. This book is rich with theological truth and full of devotional language. It makes you want to worship the God that Calvin exalts and honors.
