I bought this for my son I also got a different color for my daughter. The special features list is real good ki Bible promises ;harmony of the Gospels ; miracles of the Old Testament miracles of the New Testament; parables of the Old Testament and Old Testament prophecies of the passion ; parables of the New Testament concordance to the King James Version . My daughter really love this Bible . She's nine and is always in the world like myself . I wish it had the strongest numbers concordance and dictionary . In my opinion excellent Bible for the price .

I was satisfied with this Bible until I turned to one of the maps in the back and discovered the publisher was using the "new" terminology Common Era. I'm a firm believer in using the terms B.C. and A.D. when referencing time in any setting. But to use the term Common Era in a Bible is in especially poor taste (and judgement). I'll not buy another book from HENDERICKSON PUBLISHERS.

I bought it as a christmas gift. It was exactly what they wanted. Even though they haven't opened it yet. I liked the fact that there was more than one color option. Green is their favorite color. So it met my expectations.

I bought these bibles so that my family of six might all have a copy of the KJV (which is what is primarily used at our new church) at an affordable price. They are "affordable" but buyer beware that by "imitation leather" they really mean paper board like product pressed to look like leather. They are stiff opening and feel like they will fall apart in a few months.

Bought the same Bible in different colors for my children 3 years ago. My daughter's has held up very well. My son's binding pulled apart after about 1.5 years use, but we hot glued it back together and it's been fine since.
The large print allows for easy reading. I teach Sunday school and find many kids have difficulty reading their Bibles because the font is too small. Both my children (ages 7 and 10) can easily read aloud from these Bibles.

Not long ago, I discovered that there are several publishers that publish bibles they promote as the King James Version, when in fact, they are counterfeits. This KJV Personal Size Giant Print Reference Bible is a perfect example of this counterfeiting.
Please note that I have found that the publishers Hendrickson and also Zondervan have altered the King James text in the scripture found at Hebrews chapter 10 verse 23.
The REAL King James text states the folowing:
"Let us hold fast the profession of our FAITH without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)"
"Let us hold fast the profession of our FAITH without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)"
The counterfeit versions, such as the one being reviewed here, state the following:
"Let us hold fast the profession of our HOPE without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)"
"Let us hold fast the profession of our HOPE without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)"
As you can see, they have altered the text and changed the word FAITH to HOPE (and I'm guessing there will likely be more alterations of the text found). This is absolutely unacceptable to me as the KJV text should not be altered in any way with the publisher continuing to purport it to be the same KJV that many have come to love over the years.
Simply put....this bible, and many others like it from the publishers Hendrickson and Zondervan, are counterfeits.
