The Fire Bible in KJV is a great study Bible geared towards Spirit led life. There are a few things I look for when I go to buy a study Bible. Is it helpful? Is It extensive? Does it produce growth? This study Bible delivers on those things. I for one am not disappointed with it. FEATURES

A few of the features that I liked about this study Bible is first and foremost the Themefinders. Throughout this study Bible you will see twelve different symbols which represent a different theme. They are, Baptized/filled with the spirit, Gifts of the Spirit, Fruit of the Spirit, Healing, Faith that moves mountains, Witnessing, Second Coming, Salvation, Victory over Satan and demons, overcoming, Praise, and walking obedience and righteousness. Another feature that I liked is the articles throughout that deal with important subjects in a thorough and comprehensive way. As with any good study Bible there are footnotes at the bottom of the pages as well as study notes written from a Pentecostal perspective. This bible includes section headings, a center column cross reference system, charts, maps, concordances and indexes just like any good Study Bible would. Each book gives you an introduction which covers the author, theme, date, and background as well as an outline of the book and a reading plan for each book as well.

THE BINDING AND PAPER

The copy that I have is a hardback, which is sturdy and the paper is a little thicker than most Bibles which is good it doesnt feel as if it would tear easily. Highlighting in this Bible takes well, however, I always recommend using a dry highlighter for any Bible.

OVERALL

If you are looking for a good study Bible with a Pentecostal flavor to it the Fire Bible is for you. It comes in KJV, NIV, and ESV, As well as in different versions, the standard version. The global version and the student version. I would recommend this Study Bible to anyone wanting to study with a theme oriented mind. Overall I would give this study Bible a rating of 5. My husband and I had our own copies of the Full Life Study Bible years ago, and we were hooked by the great study notes. A complaint with that Bible was that the names of the books were on the inside of the pages, instead of on the outside corners for quicker location of scriptures. The Life in the Spirit Bible changed that, which I found to be of great benefit. I didn't realize until today that there is yet another improved version, The Fire Bible. Ever since I had my first Full Life Study Bible, I wondered why the publishers did not include a self-pronouncing text. None of these three Pentecostal Bibles have that. While using my Life in the Spirit Bible, I had hoped that, if another version was offered, that feature would be added. Maybe next time? Still, an excellent Bible with great tools that cover a lot of material, but are still easy to understand. This Bible is a tremendous help to both new converts who need basics in studying, as well as to "seasoned saints" who like some in-depth notes as well. My pastor/husband uses this Bible in the pulpit as well as for his personal studies. The text size is comfortably readable. I highly recommend this Bible to all Pentecostal Christians. And if the Publisher should happen to read this review (by some small chance), please add self-pronouncing text next go-round. Perhaps some people think that feature takes away from the smooth reading of the text, but I really do like to know how to pronounce names correctly when I am studying to teach. I always have to reach for another Bible to look up pronunciations. God bless!

i just received mine today and i must say that i am impressed!!! This Bible is packed full of goodness and great study materials. So far, the articles are spot on and expound on the Scriptures in an amazing way. The emphasis on Holy Spirit could not be more timely, as many churches have forced Him out of their services. Sad and heartbreaking to say that too. I would encourage believers to pick up one of these study Bibles and really ask Holy Spirit to open the eyes of your understanding. The world needs to "see" Jesus, not just hear about Him. We are His own and we should reflect Him. This Bible will challenge you to do just that!!!

I have had several study bibles but this one beats the rest by a long shot. I truly enjoy the commentaries and the introductions. I also enjoy the topics discussed such as the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It does't focus too much on them which is good. To me it really focuses and helps me grow in my relationship with God. I do wish it had more space to write my notes next to the verses but it just so good that it make it a small problem to deal with.

Wow! Bible is the perfect size for the readibility of the contents. I can dive into this one without needing a magnifying glass. Thank You Hendrickson Publishers for producing this Bible. It's not a carry Bible for Church. It will remain on my desk. I hope other publishers will see the need for larger formats, especially for study Bibles with a lot of content. I will eagerly look forward to my Bible study each day using this Bible. Thanks Hendrickson! Outstanding! I can even read the footnotes with ease. And the Bible will lay flat on the first page of Genesis.
