I found this in the "slightly damaged" category @ CBD & decided to include it in an order I was placing because the "price was right" as they say. At the time I was trying to find a good DVD to show during the Christmas season at church because "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" drew a big crowd last year. Well unfortunately this DVD isn't going to cut it. The grown ups are shown drinking "adult beverages" on more than one occasion. Also, there's something mystical about the golden retriever that brings the "star-crossed lovers" together by the end of the show. I got the impression she may be some sort of angel or reincarnated form of the dog the male & female leads played with as children. She certainly knows more than the average dog when it comes to the past & how to bring together the couple who were summer playmates at age 9. This a predictable romance like you could find on the Hallmark Channel & is for the most part, family-friendly. However, it's not a DVD you'd want to show during the Christmas season at a Baptist Church

This was a great movie and I first thought it was going to be kind of like an Air Bud movie but far from it. It was very interesting and a love story.

My family started watching this movie together, and had to turn it off. Inappropriate content for children- the sister asks the main character if she and a boy "did it" in the woods when they were young children.
Also, very slow start/boring beginning. Not about dogs at all, that we saw, and we watched a good thirty minutes of it. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I enjoyed the movie but based upon the Title and DVD cover, I thought the plot would be more about dogs, however, it was worth watching.

Nice movie for older children or adults. I would not recommend it for children because they would not understand that it is just pretend and that dogs do not have a spirit that comes back years later.
