Cheryl Rice5 Stars Out Of 5February 21, 2008Cheryl RiceThis review was written for Soul Talk: The Language God Longs For Us To Speak.Wow! Absolutely lifechanging for me! I couldn't put this book down. Larry Crabb has a most beautiful way with words, and the ideas presented will forever change my approach - to listening, speaking, thinking, and praying. I'm ordering extra copies to give away! This book could change the world if Christians put it into practice.

This book came highly recommended to me. We need to wrestle to let God be enough. Not second best. I have been on a religious journey, but I now want to be on a spritual journey. I don't put my hope in this book or Larry Crabb. But I do thank him for share his struggles. This world is not our home we are just passing through.

Joshua Herod5 Stars Out Of 5May 19, 2010Joshua HerodThis review was written for Soul Talk: The Language God Longs For Us To Speak.I've also become a big fan of Crabb in the process of reading this book. For the lack of a better description, he addresses how to have spiritually engaging conversations with people. However, it's not a process or "4 steps to success" program; it's really about allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you as you relate with others. His treatment of the "real battle" going on in us really challenging me in my own life and thinking. One caution: I've used this with a couple of older leaders (70+) who absolutely didn't like it. I'm not entirely sure why, but they even acknowledged they thought their kids would have enjoyed reading it...maybe it is generational, I don't know. Everyone else I've used it with have raved! The first four chapters are a bit redundant--just plow through them and I think you'll find the content well worth it!

Claire Smith5 Stars Out Of 5February 8, 2006Claire SmithThis review was written for Soul Talk: The Language God Longs For Us To Speak.Excellent book. Deep, for advanced counsellors of the soul. Easy to read, but go slow, to get the densely packed spiritual insight. I have read many books on counselling, but none quite like this one.
