Crossway Books & Bibles Hebrews, vol. 1: An Anchor for the Soul (Preaching the Word)

To modern Christians, the book of Hebrews can seem complicated and entirely foreign. This easy-to-understand, practical commentary clears away much of the confusion! Writing for pastors, students, and laypeople, Hughes enables you to both understand and apply the distinctive message of Hebrews. ''This is no dry and ponderous commentary, but a unique window into the feelings, the textures, the teachings, the times, the very hearts of the New Testament writers,'' says Fank Peretti. 256 pages, hardcover from Crossway.

I have been using this commentary to help me in adult bible class. I just love the way/style the author presents his knowledge on the Book of Hebrews. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best commentaries I've used as a Sunday school teacher. It is concise and filled with practical and useful insights into the book of Hebrews. My first encounter with Preaching the Word was in my study of Isaiah. I found that over the course of time, I was using this commentary almost exclusively; it contains so much information that the others were redundant.
