YWAM Publishing Eric Liddell: Running for a Higher Prize, Hardcover

Eric Liddell (1902-1945) stunned the world by refusing to run his Olympic race on a Sunday, a day he believed was for honoring God. Many people thought he was a fool, but Eric believed God's promise. "He who honors me, I will honor" - and God kept His promise. From winning Olympic gold to leaving his fame behind to go to China as a missionary, Eric put God in first place.

The Heroes for Young Readers series introduces younger children to the lives of Christian heroes. Perfect for read-alouds or early independent readers, children will love the captivating rhyming poems and color illustrations. Recommended for ages 5 to 10.

I like this series because it is easy for young children to read and learn about famous Christians. The downfall as I see it, is that the poetry style sometimes actually makes the books a little more difficult to follow.
