Desperate times challenge the deepest faith in historic West Virginia. The Civil War puts Nancy Logan's brother and a certain Quaker doctor in danger. In 1916, Neil McCoy advertises for a bride to please his dying grandmother. And during World War II, Lucy Bland's yard is used for training soldiers---led by a handsome captain. 352 pages, softcover from Barbour.

Historical And Spiritually Uplifting
Date:April 20, 2011
This book had 3 stories from 3 different eras. I loved the the history of West Virginia in these different eras. This book told of characters who accepted Christ as their Savior. That in it's self is always a plus in any book to read about. Good wholesome book. There were tears of sorrow then of joy.
