Danger lurks in the nation's capital. Something strange is going on at the Vietnam Memorial. Orange graffiti, secret messages, suspicious looking characters, and mysterious items left at the foot of the wall. Will the Camp Club Girls unravel the confusing clues at the twilight's gleaming and deflect any danger before the dawn's early light?

I bought books 2-18 (book 1 wasn't available but I got it elsewhere) for our 7 yr old daughter ''Sydney'', I was drawn to the books initially because they featured a Sydney character, being from Northern Ireland, Sydney isn't a popular name and I knew I would score some major ''mum points'' for these books and I was right!! She was over the moon, she loves to read and is a very confident reader, reading way beyond her years, we are just finishing book 1 and she is so excited to move on to book 2, Sydney's dc discovery. Book 1 was very well written, exciting and carried very good messages for little girls, happy 7 yr old and happy parents!!

What’s going to happen to the president?! Is a terrorist attack being planned? If there is, can two young girls really stand in the way of a threat that is unknown to almost everyone else? Sydney’s D.C. Discovery is a Christian story for girls who love modern day mysteries and suspense, with some humor added in. This is a book of adventure, friendship, and also has an interesting and unique mystery. All the Camp Club Girls books that I’ve read are great! But this one in particular is one of the best, because of the intriguing and original mystery.

This book is a fun read for the nine to twelve set. This time the mystery centers around Sydney and Elizabeth, but the other Camp Club Girls help from a distance. They put their brains together and use their talents, like Sydney's running ability and Kate's knowledge of technical gadgets to help save the President of the United States.I can totally see a family movie being made ofSydney's D.C. Discovery. It covers a large scope in terms of area/setting and plot.I was curious as to how different authors were going to be able to successfully write about the same group of girls. The transition was flawless. And I understand there are (or soon will be) a total of six books in this series. What a neat, wholesome gift this book (or series!) would be for the young girl in your life.
