Barbour Publishing White Mountain Brides: Three-in-One Collection (New Hampshire)

In 1689, several residents of Cochecho, New Hampshire, were captured by hostile natives and enslaved in Canada for five years. But when three women are among those ransomed, will they find a place back among civilization? Sarah kept her hope alive with thoughts of Richard, but the man she loved has been changed by bitterness and prejudice. Jane has no home to return to, and Charles has no desire for a wife, but a loveless marriage may be their future. Christine quietly tends to the pastor's motherless children, but will Rev. Sam learn to forgive when Christine's charity puts the village in danger?

This three - in - one novel has an interesting story line as it is obvious to the reader that it is completely fictional. However, it is still very interesting with lots of intrigue and suspense dotted throughout each story.
The underlying theme in all three stories is just how wonderful God is when we allow Him to work in our hearts and our lives.

This book shows the value of faith no matter what the circumstances are and how wrong it is to judge people just because of their circumstances. This book does this in an interesting and exciting way that keeps you reading page after page.

I'm just finishing this book, and I can't put it down! It really is historical fiction at its very best! It's authentic to the time period in which it is written, the characters are very well drawn, and it is good clean Christian reading! This book transported me back to the 1600's!

Lovely stories mixed with history. 3 stories in 1 book- kept my interest as I always wondered about the daily life of the Puritans :)

Really enjoyed this look into the early years of New Hampshire and the hostile natives that lived then. The stories were well done and very entertaining.

Interesting book. I liked the story line of the 3 captives coming home and I enjoyed hearing about their lives in captivity.

I enjoyed this book but I also am glad that I didn't live in those days. I wouldn't really say that I am a women's libber but I was frustrated at times. I must admit that I cried in this book.

The time period was why I purchased this book and I was not disappointed. It showed Colonial America is a totally different light. Plus each story was well penned and carried a thoughtful message.
