Customer Reviews for Concordia Publishing House Heaven Is a Wonderful Place

Concordia Publishing House Heaven Is a Wonderful Place

Children often have questions about life and death. This helpful book provides answers in terms children can comfortably understand as it explains God's role and His promise of eternal life as revealed in the Bible. An excellent resource when children deal with death for the first time.

Formerly entitled If I Should Die, If I Should Live, this hardback version includes the same wonderful text with refreshed artwork. Ages 4-9.

I keep them at work to have available to give to clients when they've lost a loved one. They appreciate having
something to help their children. It's a great witnessing tool. When they changed the name I was afraid they might be discontinuing it...so glad it's still available.I've probably passed out at least 30 books in the past few years.Thank you for carrying Heaven is a Wonderful Place.

Although very colorful and beautifully illustrated, I didn't really like the way that this book was written. It seemed to use the word die or if I should die phrases too often... And I believe that this is scary and hard for childen 4-7 to understand and conceptualize especially when you refer to "you". Unless you plan to fold these pages and not read them to the smaller children, I don't know if I would recommend this one. I actually didn't even read it to my children because of the frequent reference to dying. I wish that I had not purchased this one; at least due to the ages of my children.
