Customer Reviews for Concordia Publishing House Follow and Do: The Lord's Supper

Concordia Publishing House Follow and Do: The Lord's Supper

The Follow and Do series teaches young children about the Six Chief Parts of the Christian faith, combining the teachings in the catechism with practical application for all aspects of daily life.

In our tradition, young children do not receive the Lord's Supper, but often they have questions about it, finding it a mysterious and curious ritual. Even little ones can learn about the special reality that Jesus still does very real thinks for us.

This charming hardcover book for young children teaches about the Sacrament of the Altar and the divine refreshment it offers. Recommended for ages 4 to 7.

Our three year old loves these books! She brought me a stack of books to read just before her third birthday and I asked her what I should read first. Her answer, "Follow and Do The Lord's Supper by Joni Walker." I was astounded, because I didn't know she knew any authors names! She even knew she had written the words and made the pictures. The author does an excellent job of pairing the words of Luther's Catechsim together with very simple and straightforward explanations in very child friendly language. I have purchased numerous copies of all the books in this series and find them very relevant for young children! Love love love the illustrations too!

The Follow and Do series is a wonderful teaching tool for LUTHERAN families who follow Luther's small catechism. My children enjoy them. They simply teach historic, orthodox Christianity in a way a child can understand. I'm assuming the previous reviewer is NOT Lutheran.

Nice illustrations but not at all child friendly text. Near abusive theology. I sent everything from this series back.
