The stories were different, with a good message plus good entertainment. Sometimes the third story doesn't have the same impact as the first two, but in this 3 story volumn, all 3 were equally well writen and held ones interest to the end.

If you enjoy a quick romance, endearing characters, a setting that pretty much becomes a character, and stories that connect to each other, then Ozark Weddings will fit the bill. I am also always impressed when two authors can work together and, by aligning their talents, create such wonderful stories.
All three books in the Ozark Weddings collection are charming. You will love the characters and cheer for their loves. You will get mad at their miscommunications, or wrong perceptions, and you will keep reading page after page to be sure everything works out in the end. Does it? I am not a spoiler, you have to read for yourself. These books are fun to read and I am sure lovers of romance will love alll three books.

The three love stories in Ozark Weddings each delight, inspire and transport the reader. Even though I was disappointed that the title of the book pretty much told me how each tale would end, the characters kept me turning the pages. Each hero and heroine were genuinely interesting, down-to-earth and flawed enough for us to be able to relate to them, but not so much that readers look down on them. The brevity of the individual stories makes this book great for the reader who is looking for great fiction, but doesn't want to commit to an epic novel. I highly recommend this three-in-one collection.

This is a great three-in-one collection by Anita Higman and Janice Thompson.I enjoyed reading each of these stories, all set in Arkansas. The authors put a fresh twist on these romances. In "The Love Song", the main character is a painfully shy young woman. What a different heroine than the usual bubbly, outgoing characters. And the authors did a wonderful job in portraying what it is like to be shy.But I can't say it was my favorite story in the collection, because I also really enjoyed "Castles in the Air" in which the hero is a geek. Yes, he's a true nerd. What a wonderful and humorous take on a character. This story was a lot of fun to read. Yes, Zachary Martin got over his geekiness a little bit throughout the course of the book, but not completely. How wonderful to be loved just for who you are.All in all, one of the better novella collections I have read in a while. And Anita Higman is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.**This book was provided to me free of charge for review purposes. However, I don't post a review unless I truly like the story.

Glenn helps transform her and builds her confidence. He falls for her, but she seems to love another. Will she be able to make beautiful music with Hudson, or is she fated to always be disappointed and alone?Nori longs for the sweetness of marriage and a family, but has settled for running a candy shop. Ozark is a collection of 3 romance stories, each more interesting than the last. This is an easy read, good for lying by the beach in summer, or waiting to board a flight at the airport. The characters are quirky and quite likeable. But I think what I enjoyed the most is that the content of each story gave one pause for thought about varying issues that we face in today's world.

In this delightful romantic comedy written by an extremely talented duo (Anita Higman and Janice Thompson) you get not one, not two, but THREE books all bound in one tantalizing cover. As you meet the outgoing never-met-a-stranger Lark, the extremely shy and sensitive Clair, and the successful but insecure and somewhat desperate Nori, you will become so involved in their lives that you actually feel as if you are a part of their stories. You will laugh with them and you will cry with them; you will despair with them and you will rejoice with them as they meet their male counterparts. Can a workaholic and a free spirit possibly find common ground? Can the hurts of the past be overcome by love? Can insecurity and the stigma of divorce stifle true love? You will find the answers to these questions and more within the pages of Ozark Weddings. You will also see that, when God is in control, there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome. The Love Song is especially satisfying in its portrayal of Psalms 23. The humor in the writing is refreshing - some of it is obvious and some of it is a bit more subtle. Read carefully and pay attention and you will be delighted with the results. The authors use words with great mastery and skill to paint a charming and uplifting story for the readers. The only complaint that I have with these stories is that I was not ready to say good-bye to the characters; the stories were entirely too short and left me wanting more. I highly recommend this book.

In Ozark Weddings, a three-in-one collection by Anita Higman and Janice Thompson, both authors demontrate their skills as veteran romance writers. The contemporary books have Arkansas settings, a beautiful state of mountains, valleys and charm. The heartfelt characters and powerful themes of love, hope, and beginning again are an integral part of the books. This anthology is a must read for anyone looking for a hard-to-put down series of moving novels that define romance at its highest and demonstrates the healing powers of love.

Christian romance readers who love unusual characters will enjoy "Ozark Weddings," a trilogy written by two of the most prolific and qualified writers to hook up their talents.Authors Anita Higman and Janice Hanna Thompson stay away from the Barbie and Ken plastic people where theyre beautiful, handsome, and one is super rich. Instead they take you to the apartment or house next door where the folks inside come alive with their flaws, hang-ups, bushy eyebrows and wrinkled clothing. One of these is Clair in The Love Song, who is intimidated by the beautifuls and doesnt feel she belongs anywhere. Then an image coach discovers her and takes off a few rough edges. Despite her coachs fascination with her, a musician is attracted to this plain girl with hidden beauty at a party while shes hoping to quietly escape. I also enjoyed meeting Lark in Larkspur Dreams. She a successful illustrator of childrens books who knows how to create lovable creatures, but she has outlandish ways of welcoming her new neighbor, Everett, who wants nothing but peace and quiet. These characters made me smile. Then there is Nori in "Castles in the Air," whose biological clock is ticking its last few years away and she looks for answers in books such as, "Finding Your Dreamboat." In the next apartment, talented and nerd-to-the-bone Zachary has his eye on Nori and hes reading, "Courtship for Idiots." The books dont do it, but an interesting story develops. All of these characters live and breathe in Arkansas among many other folks formed from the painted fingertips of these writers. What a joy to read the work of wordsmiths. Janice Thompson has 60 published books and teaches a fiction writing course. Anita Higman is an award-winning author of 26 books.

Im usually disappointed in at least one story in a 3 in 1, so I read Larkspur Dreams wondering if this was the one that would disappoint. But, not so. I thoroughly enjoyed Larkspur Dreams. It was a fun, kept-my-attention read. Very satisfactory. Now on to the second book, The Love Song. Again, good settings, good characters, a good read. All right, so its the third one that will disappoint. But, again, not so. Castle In The Air was a very satisfactory read. The setting and characters were particularly intriguing. Maybe my favorite of the three, or, no maybe it was Larkspur Dreams that was my favorite? Although The Love Song tugged at my heartstrings. Oh, just read them all.So I have to recommend Ozark Weddings by Anita Higman and Janice Thompson. I found the writing well done. The settings built a story world. The characters especially believable. Filled with humor, quirkiness, and romance, I enjoyed spending a hot summer afternoon reading Ozark Weddings.

An enjoyable collection of three stories set in Arkansas, I felt propelled back to the land of my childhood. With sensitivity, master of lyrical writing, the authors take the readers deep into the hearts of three wonderful couples, where romance is pure and sweet. So grab your favorite drink, curl up in your favorite chair, and spend a summer day immersed in the beauty that is the Ozarks.

Three stories in one book! Larkspur Dreams, finds a famous local artist welcoming a new neighbor next door. The attraction is instanteous and strong, on her part and it appears on his part too. Larkspur Wendell is an artist, painting water color illustrations for children's books. She also oil paints too and is working up nerve for a showing. A bit of a free spirit, she is worried that her new neighbor may be just a bit uptight and sets off on a mission to loosen him up. Loosing her heart to him, wasn't part of the plan, but it happened. The Love Song, introduces us to a lonely young lady who is scared of her own shadow. Clair O'Neal has had a loveless life. Her mother died when she was a young child and she was left to be raised by a stepfather who couldnt even look at her. Never hugged, or loved on as a child, Clair is awkward, socially and personally. A beautiful girl, with a gorgeous voice. A talent so pure, that you know it only came from God. Will she ever face up to her fears of facing people and truly do what she loves? Or will she plug along trying to run a bookstore that she inherited. Will the shy and handsome Hudson Mandel bring her out of her shell? Will the image coaching she is receiving from Glenn Yves be the answer to her shyness? You will cheer on Clair as she progresses through her shyness to discover who she truly is, perhaps finding love along the way!Castles in the Air, have two neighbors who are unlikely matches both looking for love. But do they even know what love is? Nori Kelly, a candy store owner and her neighbor Zachary Martin, a bonafide member of the "geek" squad both truly want to be loved. Zachary knows who he is in love with, the trouble is convincing the person to give him a look, and to notice him. Nori, is sure her new book, How to Catch a Dreamboat will have the answers. At least she hopes so. A great story it wraps up the book. This book was provided for review purposes only.
