I really loved reading this book. If you are fascinated by the pioneer days as I am, you will also love this book. It really makes me appreciate the conveniences we have today. I will probably try a few of the recipes.

I have enjoyed this book very much. I have longed to do things the "old" way. This book was very helpful. Reading through this cookbook I can see Ma cooking at a campfire. And I can smell thebeans and saltpork. :-) If you would like an in depth look intocooking in the "Old Days" I recommend this book :-) This bookwill not gather dust at my house.
