The vocabulary (molecules, electrons) included in the explanations, may be difficult for young children to understand, but this book serves as a great introduction to those words and to concepts such as reflective light and static electricity. Each easy, fun experiment is done with everyday household items and relates to a story from the bible. This book provides a way to combine some light science into bible time for homeschoolers, and is even enjoyable for my older boys, aged 9.

These are quick easy lessons that will probably catch the attention of preschoolers. Some of the tie-ins are a stretch, but I've used some of the ideas to create my own lessons. I was hoping for something to use at Children's Church- these are probably best to use at home with your own young kids (just my opinion).

This is a fantastic, unique resource for the homeschooling mother or Sunday School teacher of those ages 4-9. Using easily obtained household materials, each lesson covers a short Bible story, then illustrates it with a science activity or experiment. In 3-6 steps, each activity uses 1-6 supplies, and is accomplished (including the reading of the Bible story) in 15-30 minutes. It is attractively illustrated and thoughtfully laid out. The science is sound, and while the doctrine tends to be Baptist in outlook, it is very usable and adaptable to any denominational stance.
