HomeschoolMomAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great for Struggling ReadersNovember 9, 2010HomeschoolMomAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is right on target for my 9yo dd who is a struggling reader -- probably dyslexic. She loves the stories! She completed Beyond the Code Books 1 and 2 and now she is in Book 3. She also uses the Explode the Code books. All these books have helped her increase her reading and spelling skills. I love that these books don't have the grade level printed on them so they can be used for different grade levels and not be insulting to the student. Also, the stories are good and entertaining for all ages. Even my 11yo ds likes to hear his sister read the stories.

C. S. Burgess5 Stars Out Of 5September 30, 2009C. S. BurgessI love, love, love Beyond the Code. My 3rd grader struggled with reading and basic phonics but now he is progressing faster than ever and having fun with the books. The stories are great and he will remember them weeks after reading them. We started with Beyond the Code 1 and will continue all the way through book 4.

homeschool mom5 Stars Out Of 5homeschool momDecember 12, 2014homeschool momQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5although we've used several explode the code books with our boys, this was the first BEYOND the code that we purchased. we've just begun working in it, so i can't say a whole lot, but my son is doing well with it. we are working in explode the code 3 and decided to purchase beyond the code 3 to go along with it. from what i can tell, Beyond the code 3 does NOT go along with Explode the code 3. however, my son is being challenged and is enjoying working in it. although it is more challenging than the explode the code 3, its helping him, and we like it.

Kristy Hazlett5 Stars Out Of 5April 11, 2008Kristy HazlettThis review is actually for ALL Explode The Code books. We absolutely love these books. My son's reading level is 2 grade levels higher than his actual grade level. He enjoys the funny sentences and pictures and especially the riddle test at the end of the book.

Mary5 Stars Out Of 5So much funMarch 20, 2017MaryQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0My 5yo boy loves these books. His writing and reading has grown so much by just working through the Explode the Code (1-3) and Beyond the Code (1-3) . The stories, pictures and questions are fun and a bit silly. The Beyond the Code books are his favorite school work. He is also encouraged to complete a half-finished picture in each of the stories, and this has greatly helped build his confidence with drawing. He used to hate writing, but now he enjoys writing cards to family and friends!
