Do you have any fears? Maybe of the dark? Griffin did. Yes, the dark is a very scary place for Griffin. The only way to scare away his fears is to put on every light he can find; Flick! Snap! Click!
When the lights went out Griffin could only hide and shiver until he was sure his mother would hear his bones rattling all the way downstairs. What a wise mother God had given Griffin for she reminds Griffin that there is Someone very big right there in Griffin’s room. “God?!” says Griffin. “Can God fit in my bedroom?” What a wonderful reminder to all of us that God is always present, always with us, and it is He who will keep us safe and grant peace.

My two year old son struggles with being afraid of the dark so I purchased this book. He loves reading the book and listening to the bible verses that remind us that God is always with us. It has encourage my son to pray and remember that God is always with us even in the dark.

My 3 year- old granddaughter was very attentive to this wonderfully illustrated book as I read it to her for the first time. Although she does not express any real fears of the dark, I feel she was reassured that there is no need to be because God is with her always.

This delightful offering by Higgs will speak to all children, including the one in each adult!! Her delicious use of language, the focused scriptures and step by step progress from fear to faith make it one of the best books of the year.

All moms of toddlers could benefit from this book. What a wonderful way to alleviate fears at bedtime and introduce children to the concept that God, who is bigger than their parents and grandparents is protecting them. This is a quality book.
