These books really cover all the bases for geographical maps in a practical way. From" Home to the world". I use them as a "Do it yourself" curriculum and then we go over what was missed. The progressions from book A to H really are systematic. I used them for all six children at different ages.
Some did not start them until they were in Jr. High level. Others did them earlier, at grade level 3 (since we knew about them). Of course the A, B, books may be too elementary for the ages of 11 up. The books are presented in an easy to follow format with multiple choice, explain your answers and draw on map answers. But not so easy that the answers are obvious. You have to think and study the maps. I Like this the best of all for a well rounded introduction to maps!

This book provides all the necessary map reading skills I was looking for to supplement my daughter's geography course. I will be purchasing the different levels as my children need them.

I was first introduced to these student friendly, colorful, engaging workbooks while homeschooling my daughter in 1998. I have continued to rely on these workbooks for the past 11 years to enhance the geography/history curriculum I use. As my children advanced, these workbooks were used independently. There are no tests associated with this workbook. However, their IOWA Test scores proved they had achieved all desired goals.
