This was bought as a gift for the child of a friend who currently has a Bible for younger children (he is six years old). My friend said that his kids couldn't put it down, and that his son will "grow" into it. In the meantime, his parents can read to him from it.

Bought for Sunday School so each child has a Bible to follow when the teacher - makes them aware that it is a Bible Story not just a story. Shows ownership.

Enriching The Youth Of Tomorrow
The children loved their new bibles. The hard cover makes it eaiser to hold and makes for longer wear and tear.

This is an excellent choice of bible. The youngsters in our church received them on Children's Sunday and although the print was slightly small, they wanted to steer away from the storybook bibles and were thrilled to receive an "older" version bible that they could read. The pictures and maps, etc. added to their excitement of reading about the Lord. Thank you for offering this in the NRSV!

I was not pleased with this bible. The print size was too small for a younger reader. Other bible for young readers have much larger printing making it easier to read.

As a teacher of k-6 grade students, this looks like a Bible that young readers would not only enjoy reading, but also be proud to carry to church with them. This age group is very much into "non babish"they want theirs to be close to what the "older kids" carry. This Bible looks like an older students Bible with Gold toned pages, watercolor pictures, and double columns with room to take notes. Because it has graphs, maps, charts and articles about how people lived in Bible times , they are getting a look back into history plus a chance to practice skills needed to pass state required tests like the FCAT, all while learning about their Heavenly Father. This is the one I am buying my 2 oldest granddaughters.
