These new guides have filled what I saw as a gap in our homeschooling curriculum. Although my children are reading a lot... we had very little in the way testing for reading comprehension. These guides are teaching my 1st and 2nd graders how to read for content. But I really think that they are over price for a pretty small workbook. I think $6-8 would be more reasonable considering it really is only a collection of short answer questions and vocab words divided by chapters. Or I would like to see several of the books combined into one workbook like the Treasury collection. Also the teacher guide has no lesson plan material. It is simply the answers to the questions... which could easily be included at the back of this book. Again having to buy yet another guide just adds to the price. Overall we like them and may buy more... I would buy them all if they brought the price down.
