I am prayerfully considering sending a copy of this to a Native-inspired church in my community. I am not sure it will be well-received as the white pastor believes the Great Spirit is the same God of the Bible, and even though his wife is a former practitioner of the occult. They have incorporated the drum and dance into their Sunday worship. I have attended powwows as a Christian, and have a college degree in Native Studies. Reading this book helped me to convince my boyfriend to remove a dreamcatcher from his home. It had been given to him by a Native female coworker who also attempted to seduce him into immorality even though she was married. I haven't finished reading, but the material is completely engrossing. It is also the most credible I have read on this subject, since the author herself is Native and has first-hand experience in this field.

Many are commenting on this subject in the Native Christian Church, and most of the conversation has been coming from those who take the opposite view. Her views have weight in that she speaks from one in the day to day Native world and one who has come from the Muddy waters.
