I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He drives a big rig for a living and he says it keeps him alert, since he does not have time to read the Bible. We, also bought the FM transmitter for us both listening to it in the car as we travel.

I was delighted at first when I received the product. The narrative was clear and well done. The product was easily carried in my purse but I didn't have cause to do that. It's just a nice, small size. There was also an option to work through the bible by listening to old and then new Testament sections. That is the one I used and I enjoyed it very much.
My only problem with the product was that it stopped working after several months of use. There was nothing to be done. Changing batteries was not the problem. I don't know what happened but I was completely dissatisfied.

If you are good at learning by listening, then this device is invaluable tool to study the Bible. I highly recommend this audio tool especially for a person who has studied the Bible before and wants to refresh his memories.

So Far it has worked well, I enjoy the narrator very peaceful calming voice. I can't review battery life at this time its to soon. Easy to use for those of us technically challenged.

Easy to carry, clear sound. love to listen to it as a passenger in the car on long trips or during my quiet times when I can let my imagination loose and/or read along with my bible. I take it wherever I go as my bible is rather large due to my eyesight. Love this little contraption :)

It should be noted that somwhere in the cyberuniverse is a video review of some lady trashing this product. I am very, very much, so far, though I've just received it, very, very much impressed with its quality. I love it and Alexander Scourby's narration is truly magnificent. Having over the years collected cassette tapes of Mr. Scourby reading the bible, it has become plain to me that he recorded the bible at least a few times and not just having one recording used over and over. In one set of cassettes of the N. Testament Scourby erroneously reads 1 Cor 4:8 as "ye have reigned as gods." In other recordings he does not make that mistake. Unfortunately, the recording on this GoBible also has this mistake in 1 Cor 4:8 which is not entirely fatal if one is aware that the error is there in this version of Scourby's rnarration of the bible. (Perhaps Scourby was using at times some older edition of the KJV since there were reportedly some minor revisions even as late as the approximate time of the Revolutionary War. Or perhpas Scourby actually knew the KJV Bible pretty much by heart but, as many of us have discovered even with our much more humble attempts at scripture memorization, memory can occassionally make some, ususally relatively minor, mistakes.) If one has the habit of proceeding very slowly through the bible in their own reading of the scripture, lingering over every phrase, which can have some value, but has drawbacks as well, Scourby's narration will force one to move right along through the Scripture and see again the "forest" rather than lingering at every "tree." I have only so far listened to a fraction of the 70 hours of scripture recordings, but clearly this is an absolute joy with a master of the English language effortlessly and fluidly reading what even secular scholars have rated as a masterpiece of the English language -- the KJV tranalation of the bible, which the only such masterpiece ever produced by a committee. For best theological use, study of the well-known imperfections in the KJV is important, but beauty and majesty of language should count for something too in translating scripture and for those who can handle it, the KJV is unequalled in this area. Also, many of the best commentaries in existence are based on the KJV withdue notes of the important corrections in translation. So far, you can have my GoBible Voyager, KJV edition, when you pry it out of my cold, dead fingers. (It sould be great if the GoBible people could splice in "reigned as kings" over the "reigned as gods" error in 1 Ccor 4:8 from one of the Scourby recordings in which he got it right, but our minds are capable also of doing the splice. However, if they ever do make that fix, I hope they will send me a Voyager with the fix in place.)

My husband has lost most of his sight in one eye and it's difficult to see with the other eye. He has been missing reading the Bible whenever he wants without issues. This Voyager brought tears to his eyes when he first heard it. He can see enough to choose the book in the Bible he wants to read and with earphones he isn't intruding on anyone's quiet time! He is back to reading when he wants!

I was expecting a device that was easy to use and not overwhelming in content. I was pretty impressed with this product!
Pros: Works great and it's Alexander Scourby narrating it!
Cons: You can't READ the Bible on it! A little slow, and isn't rechargeable! Doesn't have a external speaker, but works great through earbuds!

I am so very disappointed. I was so excited about getting this, and could not wait for its arrival. It is not only difficult to add music, it must be in MP3 format, which most of my music is not.
The ear buds are for people with elephant ears, way toooo large, cant eve get in my ear. And, the worse, it freezes up all the time.
I have only had it for 3 hrs. now and am seriously looking into returning. I get very frustrated when it just keeps freezing and I cannot even turn it off because it will not do ANYTHING. Really would have enjoyed this if it worked.
