I love the Samantha Sanderson series for many reasons. First, it is so refreshing to see such a high quality, professional fiction book for teens, that upholds Christian standards. Second, it is a very well written book that has real life subjects, that are always brought about in an amazing way. And third, it is exciting, and is a great way to spend your time. I'm thanful for christian authors,who can write such encouraging and inspiring books for young girls. One side note- she is slightly disregarding of her fathers instructions, but her mother is somewhat frequently reminding her that her father, who is a police man, only tells her not to do certain thigs for her own safety and good. and at one point Sam is quite sad and sorrowful after going against her fathers wishes, and apologizes. So overall, its a great series, I would highly suggest! Thanks for your time. God bless!

I only had the chance to read At the Movies, but if the second book is anything like the first I am sure I would recommend this one to your daughter. I would put this in the ages of 9-11 year olds.

At the Movies was a great read with strong Christian tweens who have to deal with bullies and learning to stay strong in their faith.

Samantha is a strong-headed girl (like a lot of tweens) and she loves writing for the school paper. She is very gifted in this area but has to learn to deal with the "rules" of writing and covering a story, one that her father is leading the investigation .

I am sure most tween girls can relate to the characters in this book and be encouraged as they read about other Christian tweens and how they handle some tough situations.

Overall, I highly recommend this book to your tween girl:)

Samantha is a middle school cheerleader that dreams of following in her mom's footsteps and becoming a journalist. For now, she works on her school news paper. Along with her friend Makayla, Sam solves mysteries and writes about them, while trying to be a good friend and make Godly choices. Although Sam is also a seventh grader, I would say this book is a bit more mature than other books. One of the books deals with bullying and has some discussions questions at the back of the book. There is also a lot of tech talk in this one - texting, etc. This isn't a big deal in our house, but I thought it was worth mentioning. My 13 year old is devouring these books. I would recommend them for girls ages 12-14.

This book, Samantha Sutton at the movies was written by Robin Caroll. It was not the usual kind of book I read, because it was more of a mystery. But I did like it, the characters seemed like they could be real, and it was entertaining.

The main story is of Samantha, Sam as she likes to be called, who is a budding journalist. When a bomb is found at her nearby theater she instantly is intrigued. Her father, a police officer, is investigating the case, and she ends up writing about it for her school! Sam is a curious girl who loves writing, but her investigations do lead her to some trouble. Also she shares her faith throughout the book.

This book is a great book for girls who enjoy Christian mysteries. It is probably for girls about ten and up, because it touches upon subjects that might not be helpful for younger people. But there is also almost no romantic scenes or mention of it. Altogether this was a very nice book, which I would recommend to my friends.

This book is a good fit for girls everywhere who are trying to discover themselves through their peers, school, environment and family. This is a down to earth book that helps girls stand stronger in their faith, while relating to every day events that could happen just about anywhere.

After I read this book, I wanted my cousin to read it also. She is in seventh grade and could benefit from a story like this where her faith could apply to her every day life.
