Banner Of Truth The Sinfulness of Sin

We cannot understand the Christian gospel until we know what sin is. Yet modern secular counsellors urge us to ignore both the word and what it tells us about our rebellion against God and his law. Sadly, the church too often serves as an echo chamber for such short-sighted wisdom. Although THE SINFULNESS OF SIN was written three hundred years ago, it remains an oasis of truth in a desert of lies. This book gives a clear explanation of what sin is, why it is so serious, and what we need to do about it.

In all seriousness, this is an extremely valuable book. You will greatly benefit from reading it, and even more so from absorbing the information inside. Many people think sin is just a 'mistake', but this is a gross understatement. Sin is much worse than a simple mistake. Dropping your bowl of cereal on the carpet is a mistake; but sin is an assault against God, and in many ways it's also an assault against your own self.If you're looking for insight about the ins and outs of sin (what it is / what it's like / its effects / etc.), then this book, "The Sinfulness of Sin", is without question the book that you're looking for. After reading Ralph Venning's The Sinfulness of Sin, it is quite likely that your testimony of sin will sound like this: "Whereas once I was blind to the supreme evilness of sin... now I see. Sin is exceedingly sinful, and I don't want anything to do with it".
