Vision Video Jeremy's Egg, DVD

Twelve-year-old Jeremy is terminally ill and the only special-needs child in second grade. One day his teacher gives her students plastic eggs with the instructions to fill them with something that symbolizes Easter and new life. Jeremy's response to the assignment astonishes her, his classmates, and the Navy pilot who is his friend. Based on a true story, Jeremy's Egg is a surprising and inspirational film for the whole family. Approx. 95 minutes.

This movie is very inspiring, and a very clean movie for today's society. My family enjoyed it very much.

I told this story as a children's sermon at my church the Sunday before Easter, so I thought it would be nice to have the DVD to place in the church library. The film is probably too long to hold the interest of young children as it deals mostly with the parents and their response to having a child with disabilities. You can tell it is a "low-budget" production, but it is a goodstory. I left it in the church library for families to see.

I am sad to say that this is a very poorly directed and produced movie lacking greatly in story content. I was very disappointed and wish I could return this movie and get my money back. Not to mention it was a big downer. The Mom dies, the boy Jeremy dies and it does not redeem itself in the end. Don't waste your money.

This movie is not worth seeing. It really doesn't have any meaning to it. They should refund your money.

This is a story that I have used for years (from print) at Easter. I was pleased to find it available in DVD. I would recommend it to any group to use at any time, but especially at Easter.

Our local church asked me to order this for our Elementary kids to watch during a Friday Night at the Movies and they were touched by it. They really liked it.

As a Pastor I've come to expect quality from CBD. This isn't. It's a sham. Can't even call it Christian. Pathetic attempt at movie making. Take it out of inventory. Don't let people waist their money or time. I threw it in the garbage.

This movie is rather old and the acting is not very good, as well as the story line. The story is beautiful but not delivered very well in this movie. I would not recommend buying this.

This unfortunate movie is an excercise in lackluster filmmaking. I work for a Christian media agency and a large part of my job is to screen Christian movies and television shows. This movie is composed of a patchy storyline (at it's best) and random flashes of stock footage (at it's worst). Do not buy this if it can be avoided. If you need it for some reason rent it (online rental agencies carry it). To fund this sort of disgrace should be frowned upon. It makes Christian media look like a joke.

Unfortunately, this film was thoroughly boring. It is based on a short story that a handicapped boy brings an empty egg to an Easter show-and-tell at school. The teacher thinks he didn't understand the instructions, but rather Jeremy meant to point out that Jesus' tomb was empty. Cute point, but the movie takes 90 minutes to tell this story. The "adrenaline-packed adventures of the navy fighter" are simply scenes in the movie that leave us puzzled what they have to do with the rest of the story line. There is a minute-long scene where the whole family unwraps Christmas presents, with no greater significance at all. I am sorry, I wish I could say this is a heart warming Christian movie, but really it was so boring in places, it was simply painful.
