I do not like giving negative reviews but the dvd had poor quality and poor acting. The story in itself was great but everything else in it brought it way down. We had our daughter and their husband over and they watched it. They are in their twenties. It did not hold their interest and found it boring. I would only give it a 5 out of 10.

I have used this DVD several times in India where I go every year as a short-term missionary. The story is compelling because it is true and continuing in real time as the main characters expand their journey for Jesus in India. This is a good movie for discussion about faith, hope, keeping eyes on the goal, trust in God, perseverance, and commitment. The arrogance of the "establishment," confidence of the chemist about following God's will, faithfulness of the father, clear focus by the boy, and the commitment of the couple to each other over time and distance are all worthy discussion points. Excellent choice.

This was really a good movie. This young man showed lots of courage to be able to leave his home and go far away in order to go to school to learn the language that he needed to have in order to transpose the Bible into his native language.

This is truly a great inspirational story. The quality of the DVD is not the best as the movie is over 20 years old but the message makes up for that. I enjoyed it and it would be a great witness for those who do not yet know the Lord.

The message is good...but the movie drags unmercifully. You have to be determined to watch it. The acting is as good as a B movie. This is definately not one that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Consider it more of a documentary.

This movie made me remember some things that I have forgotten, or have taken for granted. I have always been able to find a Bible in my native language no matter where I live. I never realized that there are many people in this world who are hungering for the word of GOd but, don't have access to it. The journey portrayed in this movie is a common one, on many levels, but is still inspirational. It is amazing how The Lord calls us and never lets us go, no matter how hard we try to ignor or run from that call.

Wow! Talk about God using the weak things of this world to confound those which are mighty!! If you take it for granted that you can read the Holy Bible in your own language and have forgot to thank God recently for such a blessing...you have to watch this video. If you have ever asked God, "can you use me?"...watch this video which is the testimony of how God took a poor child, gave him a desire to serve Him, and then sent him to colleges all over the world to equip him to the point where he translated the Bible into the language of his own people... If you're facing opposition to serving God? Watch this video and be prepared to be encouraged to the max! This video brought tears of joy to my eyes several times. I found myself praising Jesus Christ all through this video. What a glorious God He is who has created us to glorify and enjoy Him forever!! I could see the love and faithfulness of God magnified in this historical movie. In Christ, Zach p.s. This movie also demonstrates how God can use a faithful parent to influence their children to live for Christ.
